M. A. Narayana Vadhyar(Nana Vadhyar) came to mumbai in the year 1957.He temporarily settled down in Matunga Bombay(as it was known then), in a bachelors accomodation(Buddha Nivas -It still exists).From there he would go to perform his daily duties as a religious priest.He had his family which consisted of his mom & dad(our grandparents),younger brother, wife(our mom)& 2 kids (my elder sisters)back in Kerala(Peruvumba). Later he shifted to a small rented house in Chunabhatti Bombay along with one of his colleagues. His main area of operation was Matunga, Khar & Mulund.<br />He was one of the best in his profession, so people from allover Bombay approached him for his services.He was joined by our mom & my elder sister who was only an year old then(somewhere around 1961).After about 3 years my elder brother was born.As our family grew he shifted to Kurla Mumbai.There my mom gave birth to my elder brother(1966),my elder sister(1968), & me (1972). He had to struggle really hard to support a family of seven in Bombay, his parents & my 2 elder sisters in our native place. He gave us all decent education in good schools. My elder sister had to quit education to lend him a hand in supporting our family. Gradually we shifted to Thane as the family grew.From there he would wakeup early in the mornings and commute by local trains & buses to his place of work. Both my mom & dad (my elder sister aswell)have put in all their efforts so that we could lead a good life. He got all my sisters married to decent families as he grew in his profession. <br /> <br /> He worked all his life till the last minute. He started experiencing severe pain in the chest & had to undergo an Angioplasty(July 2008). While he was in hospital he underwent a full body scan. It was only then we came to know that he was in his advanced stage of liver metastases. Finally he left for his heavenly abode on 4-10-2008. It was the most unfortunate day in our lives.
